Biju was a great driver, with a banger playlist and incredible sand dune driving skills. We enjoyed all the activities and he took some fantastic pictures of us, perfect for Instagram!

Life changing experience

I don’t know where to start. This was not great experience… but the best moment of my life! Our driver Shameerka from OceanAir Travels picked up our group directly at the hotel, described points of interest during the way to desert, took a lot of photo of us, every step was described perfectly. I’m speechless.. I really enjoyed this moment so much. Dunes, camels, dancers, environment…. Thank you very much for this fantastic moment! Never forget it.

What a great tour

The tour is an unforgettable experience. Driver Unaz is very friendly, informative and handsome! Desert safari is fun yet not dangerous. The dancing show is fantastic and prepare for your camera well.

Must do in Abu Dhabi

Awesome adventure in the sand dunes of Abu Dhabi. A 6 hour experience of exhilaration, including navigating the dunes in a 4x4 that is like a roller coaster ride, fun in the sun, came rides, dune surfing, good food, belly dancing and more. Our driver, Ramshu, was kind, friendly, patient and more importantly, an experienced driver. He made the whole experience so much more memorable. Well worth the price.

Ok but not seven hours

This ‘seven hour’ desert safari returned us almost exactly five and a half hours after we were picked up. It’s unfortunate that there is a lie in the title because otherwise it was quite good fun. Reasonable value for money. Nothing special, does what it advertises and is well organised. Our host/driver was very quiet but friendly and looked after us well. It’s surprising to see an overwhelming number of excellent ratings, for us it was somewhere between average and good.

wonderful activity

It was magical, we had a lot of fun doing the safari in the desert with Hamza who is very careful and attentive. A big thank you again to Hamza who was there for us, he took wonderful photos and was always there to serve us. A big thank you to the whole team who were very helpful.

Over-marketed for what it was

The ride from the hotel included two stops to pickup two other couples. What should have been a 45-50 minute ride took over 90 minutes. There was a lot of waiting around. The camel rides were very brief and the atv guide makes you stay in a single file line and your cannot veer off course or go fast. The sandboarding was on a very small hill which made it difficult to gain much speed so wasn’t quite worth the hype. After the activities were done, you gave a lot of men trying to sell you smoothies, souvenirs, and your name written in Arabic. From there, more waiting around. We did the midday tour and the whole day ran late so be mindful when booking as you’ll likely be late for anything you have planned that evening. The ride into base camp for the BBQ was rough through the deserts. We waited for over an hour in the heat for food with little to no communication on what was happening. The food was delicious at the time but my husband had good poisoning and spent the remainder of our trip in and out of the bathroom.

Would Desert Safari again!

We had an awesome time on the desert safari! I was nervous about Dune Bashing but it was super fun. (Glad I took gravol though!) Azeez was a great tour guide and made it really fun for us.

Exhilarating experience with Biju the Dune basher!

This was such an amazing experience for the whole family. Nothing short of exhilarating. You definitely need the right driver that is in tune with the excitement and terror of the passengers in the vehicle and Biju is that guy. The man knows how to drive and build up the excitement and create a few surprises. He is super skilled at the wheel.

We were picked up from our hotel on time. Shout out to our kind guide Sanoo who was very patient with the 2 kids onboard. I was hesitant to book this experience at first after reading many other negative reviews with other operators that cost cheaper so I’d rather spend a little more with Oceanair. The food was great too. So mahy kind of dishes were served. It was organized and didnt feel overcrowded. But the dune bashing isnt for the faint hearted. Me and my partner threw up after. Lol. But we had a great time.

Unforgettable

Great driver awesome experience

My driver was Azeez. A very talented, experienced and skilled driver!!! He made the whole ride much more enjoyable by communicating with us, explaining the sights we were passing by on the way to our location and giving us info about them. He also was very funny and pleasant to talk with. He made the ride one of the best experiences I ve ever had on a trip :D 20/10 If I or any of my friends ever visit abu dhabi in the future I ll recommend the company and of course the driver hoping they will get a chance to ride with him as well and have a such a great experience!!! Awesome day with Biju

Was an absolutely perfect excursion. Our driver / guide Biju was a total pro and made the day so memorable. Very friendly and knowledgeable, but also gave all of us a great thrill with some awesome dune bashing.

Dune bashing with the best

Ranju picked us up from the hotel right on time. He turned out to be the most amazing driver for such a trip through the sand dunes. Kids loved the sandboarding very much. We had plenty of time for each activity. Unforgettable experience. We recommend this excursion!!

Great Day out - highly recommend!

We’re just back after having the pleasure of experiencing a 4 wheel drive ( 4WD) desert safari sand dune bashing with the amazing Biju from ‘OceanAir Travels’ in the Al Khatim desert in Abu Dhabi and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the adrenaline-pumping ride through the sand dunes to trying our best at sandboarding, every moment was filled with excitement. Then back to base camp for a dodgy but fun camel ride. The traditional dance shows added a cultural touch to the evening and the barbecue dinner was absolutely delicious. Our driver Biju was knowledgeable, friendly, and reassuringly knowledgeable in the sand dunes and ensured that we had a great time throughout the safari. Overall, we would highly recommend OceanAir Travels for anyone looking to experience a thrilling desert safari in Abu Dhabi. A relaxing trip in the desert!

Asi is the best driver, he has very good music in his car. The trip and program was very fun. My family and I learnt so many things about the muslim customs.

The best tour of our lives

It's not easy to write a review of this tour and our guide, Munaj, so that it would do them justice. It was the best tour we've ever had (and we visited 62 countries). The agency accommodated our very custom needs (shorter tour duration while keeping most of the itinerary, unusual pickup location, transporting a baby stroller). Munaj proved to be versed in many skills - he was an excellent driver (both on the road and the sand), won the trust of our 2yo daughter who was in a very bad mood, gave us very useful information and even doubled up as a photographer - I wish some professional photoshoots turned up as great as his random phone pictures of our family enjoying the tour activities. He turned our bad day into one of the best days of our travels and we're already thinking when to get back to Abu Dhabi to do some more sightseeing with him. Thank you Munaj once again for being awesome!

We can recommend the desert Safari. Especially our tour guide Hamza. It was a great afternoon and evening. We had a lot of fun.

Magnificient experience

We went with the family (2 adults + 1 child + 1 teenager) and we enjoyed a lot (rally with the cars, snowborad in the dunes, quads, camels, etc.) A magnificent experience. Thanks to Baju, our driver and guide who took great care of us and is a spectacular driver.

Best Tour Ever!

Definitely worth the money! Hamza, our guide, picked us up from our hotel and drove us out to the desert. The dune bashing was SO fun and smoother than we were expecting. Hamza was kind enough to take pictures for us, both at the dunes and when we rode the camels. The food at the BBQ was delicious. This has been the best tour we've done so far in the UAE!

Amazing experience with equally amazing guide

My fiancé and I had an incredible experience with the tour. The pick up was on time and we both got to experience everything in a timely fashion. Our tour guide Biju was very helpful and took care of us during our trip. Our favourite was the bbq in the desert along with the other visitors. Highly recommend to those looking for a desert experience.

This tour was very well arranged and comfortable. Our guide HAMZA was terrific; great driver and host. He also took good care of us all through the tour. Good experience on all fronts; desert dune driving, camel feeding, dune surfing, etc.

Amazing day

From the start everything was on point. The pickup was on time, no delays. Even though there was super heavy rain at the beggining of the trip, we managed to have a great day! Munaj made sure we were comfortable, was incredible on the dunes ride and helped us with all the activities. It was all smooth and relaxing. If you have the option to pick a guide, Munaj is awesome!

Highlight of Desert Experience

The entire experience had been nothing short of amazing. From picking us punctually from our hotel to creating memories with my great pal. Our driver, Minaj (I hope I got his spelling correctly). There are a lot of 6 of us in the car. We went through the sand dunes and we had a very experienced driver. I always get motion sickness and have prepped with motion sickness pills and were fine throughout. Minaj is a very experienced driver who provides assurance while driving us around. The rest of the activities also include: camel riding, sandboarding, dinner, performance, henna & costume try out. I enjoyed the drive most and although the driver would have described it to be similar to a roller coaster, I personally felt it was very safe (at least in his car). Tops, he also takes very very good photos to keep as souvenirs! Highly recommended to anyone who visits Abu Dhabi!

Unique and Amazing trip in the Desert

We have had every Amazing tour s interesting funny and excellent. The driver was superb. We were on the dunes, made sand surfing and a lot of beautiful photos. The Driver was and excellent photographer too. He made almost a book.
